When to deactivate a Depop listing vs delete a Depop listing?
This is a convenient method to quickly deactivate a listing especially if for example you are cross selling it and perhaps you have a purchase pending on another platform and you don’t want to take it off until the transaction is confirmed, etc.
This happened to me one time I sold a pair of vintage shorts on Poshmark and then the girl returned them because of fit. Despite the fact that I had the measurements listed, Poshmark allowed this buyer to return the item.
I had deleted my listing on Depop once the item sold on Poshmark. So I had to add the listing back from scratch and if I had just marked it as sold I wouldn’t had to do all that.
I did have a happy ending and that is that the shorts sold on Depop at asking price within two weeks.
So the moral of the story is that they are times when you can just delete a listing on Depop.
